• Balanced reward and redirection
• Confidence through positive exposure
• Partnership between dog and handler.

WORKING PUPPY FOUNDATION BASICS GROUP or PRIVATE 6 weeks

Course Overview – Working Dog Edition

Welcome to K9 Dragon Factory’s Working Puppy Foundations Program. This six‑week course is built for owners raising young working or sport puppies destined for advanced pursuits such as obedience, detection, or service work. The goal is to create confidence, environmental stability, and clear communication before formal task training begins.

Our Training Philosophy

This program builds relationship first, then skill. Engagement, structure, and clarity ensure the puppy learns through motivation, not pressure. The following elements guide our work.

• Engagement and Motivation – The puppy values the handler as the reward source.

• Confidence and Neutrality – Early environmental work prevents avoidance.

• Drive Development – The pup learns to enter and exit drive on cue through play and markers.

• Communication and Clarity – Marker training builds precision without pressure.

• Calm in Drive – Dogs learn to think while excited and relax when finished.
